The family was living in Phoenixville Burough, Chester County, PA. Adna was keeping a restaurant. In addition to Adna and Mary, the children were Emma, age 8, and Martha, age 3. Adna's real property was worth $1,900 and his personal property was valued at $150. All were born in Pennsylvania.

Information from the 1870 Census:

The family was living in Phoenixville Burough, Chester County, PA. Adna was in a machine shop. In addition to Adna and Mary, the children were Martha, age 13, Lewis, age 9, and Clara, age 5/12. Clara was born in December, 1869. Martha and Lewis were in school. Adna's personal property was valued at $200. All were born in Pennsylvania.

The family was living in Phoenixville Burough, Chester County, PA. Adna was in a machine shop. In addition to Adna and Mary, the children were Emma, age 27, Martha, age 23, Lewis, age 19, Clara, age 10, and Mary, age 8.
