Individual Note:   Jonathon's record was extracted from the LDS IGI file that contains information submitted by their members. SInce the LDS does not check the validity of this information erroneous information can slip into the file. Jonathan's birth and christening are not transcribed on the church records as depicted in William Hinke's extract as shown on mircofilm #20354 in the LDS microfilm collection.

Susan Whitney's file shows Jonas' name as Jonathan. The record also indicates that he was married to Salome Koch and his parents were Adam Guth and Dorothea. The christening records for all the children indicate that the parents are JONAS Guth and Salome. It is possible that the church sexton was using a shortcut for the full name with Jonas or that Jonathan shorten his name. It appears that the cemetery records may be the source of the LDS IGI file records and Jonathan/Jonas was christened at one of the other Reformed Churches in the area other than Jordon Reformed Church.
