Note for: Henry Guth, 10 DEC 1764 - 7 MAY 1829 Index
Burial:
Date: AFT 7 MAY 1829
Place: Durham Township (Durham Refor\med Church)
Individual Note: Named in his estate file in the inventory of bonds were the following who appear to be his descendents still living:
Michael Guth
John Guth
Henry Guth, Jr.
John Reasly
Samuel McHose (other possible spellings - Hoch, Hoe, M Hohe, M'Okahoe, McOkalhoe, McEllhose, Mekelhoh)
George Mill
George Mill and wife Catharine are listed in Durham Reformed records giving birth to 3 duaghters and Henry and Catharine Guth were the sponsors for the first daughter and Henry and Susanna were sponsors for the second daughter. I have only found primary records (church baptism records) for Michael, Henry and Magdalena. These children along with the others were found on the Family Data Database first compiled by MyFamily.com and currently accessible through Ancestry.com. Because he died and his estate was filed in 1829, it is possible that the 2 younger children (Jacob and Magdalena) were not yet married and thus had not received their portion of the legacy in notes. This would lead me to conclude that Mary Magdalena and Elizabeth were the wifes of John Reasly and Samuel McHose. Nothing I have found yet (9/14/06) has lead me to conclude which daughter was married to which husband. There is a baptism record at Durham Reformed Church for a child, Henry, born 1/5/1817 to a Samuel and Margaret (Magdalena??) MEKELHOH (McHose). A George and Catharine Guth were sponsors for his baptism.

From Bucks County estate file #11515, The letter declining letters of administration for Michael Guth's estate reads:
To Honourable K. Lugar, Esq.
Register of Bucks County
We the undersigned hiers of Michael Guth late of Springfield Township in said county deceased, do hereby renounce our rights of administration upon his estate and desire that letters of administration may be granted unto George Mill of Durham Township.
May, 1864
George Guth
George Z. Campbell John Campbell
Catharine Trawger
Belinda A. Campbell
Jacob Z. Guth
Levina X (her mark) Guth
Mary Frankenfield
Henrietta Z. Hemmerly
Suswana Rufe
Catharine X (her mark)_Mill
This document presents some interesting questions. First no mention was made of Judith (his wife - was she dead by 1864?); George and Catharine Mill are his brother-in-law and sister; Jacob Z. Guth, Levina Guth, Mary Frankenfield, Henrietta Hemmerly and Susanna Rufe are his nieces and nephew by his brother Henry and his wife Susanna (Ziegler) Guth; are the others ( Belinda Campbell, George Z. Campbell, John Campbell, George Guth, and Catharine Trawger) his children or nieces and a nephew by other brothers and sisters??
