Individual Note:   Information from the 1850 US Census:

John and Mary Ann were living in West Pikeland Township, Chester County, PA where John was owner of a farm valued at $1600. Living with the family were their children Hannah C., aged 2, and George K., aged 6/12, and Jeanna Sloyer, aged 12. All were born in Pennsylvnaia.

Information from the 1860 US Census:

John and Mary Ann were living in West Pikeland Township, Chester County, PA where John was owner of a farm valued at $4140 and had personal property worth $1150. Living with the family were children - Kate (Hannah C.), aged 12, George K., aged 10, Sarah K., aged 5. amd John L., aged 1. Also living with the family was a farm laborer William Fry, aged 53, who was probably a brother or other relation to John. The 3 older children were in school. All were born in Pennsylvania.

Information from the 1870 US Census:

John and Mary Ann were living in West Pikeland Township, Chester County, PA where John was owner of a farm valued at $15,000 and had personal property worth $1679. Living with the family were children - Hannah, aged 22, George, aged 20, Sarah, aged 15, and John L. aged 11. Hannah was unemployed and George was working as a farm laborer.
