Individual Note: From the 1900 Census:
John was living at 385 Washington Avenue, Phoenixville, PA with his wife Ida (King) and 5 children. The census indicates that Ida had 5 children and that they were all living. The census shows that John and Ida had been married for 15 years. John's parents were born in Germany and he was a day laborer in the Iron Mills. John could read, write and speak English. It appears that he owned the house however that portion of the page was unclear on the image and it could not be determined if the house was mortgaged or not. The census shows that the 3 older children (Edna, Frank and Laura) were in school at the time of the census.
From the 1910 Census:
John was living at 385 Washington Avenue, Phoenixville, PA with his wife Ida (King) and 5 children. The census indicates that Ida had 5 children and that they were all living. The census shows that John and Ida had been married for 15 years. John's parents were born in Germany and he was a laborer at the Electric Works. John could read, write and speak English. John owned the house and there was a mortgage on it. The 2 older children (Edna and Frank) were working. The 3 younger children (Laura, Helen and Warren) were in school. There was a boarder living with the family. She was 73 year old Sarah Weaver. Sarah was widowed and had had one child who was not alive in 1910. The family was living down the street from Ida's brother William B. King. William and his family lived at 367 Washington Avenue.
From 1920 Census:
John was living at 385 Washington Avenue, Phoenixville, PA with his wife Ida (King) and 4 children. Edna was living with her parents. She had married someone with surname Cairns and was widowed. John's parents were born in Studgart, Germany and he was a laborer at the Electric Works. John could read, write and speak English. John owned the house and there was a mortgage on it. Edna, Warren and Helen were working. Laura was living at home but not working.
From 1930 Census:
John was living at 385 Washington Avenue, Phoenixville, PA with his wife Ida (King) and 3 children. Warren had married and had 2 sons. He and his family were living with his parents. John married at age 25. Ida was 24 when they married. John and Ida owned the house and it was listed with a worth of $3,000. John's parents were born in Germany and he was a laborer at the Electric Works. John could read, write and speak English. The family owned a radio. Helen and Warren were working. Laura was living at home but not working.

Frank and Maud were living with Maud's brother, Earl Plummer age 36, on the brother's farm in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, PA. They had a radio. Living with them was their daughter Alice, age 5 2/12. Frank was a farm laborer on the farm.
