Marriage to Eva is listed in Churchbook for Augustus Evangelical Lutheran Church. Michael Konig appears with a notation saying that he is a widower indicating Eva was not his first wife. According to Thera it is also noted they were "m. across the Schuylkill, in Muhlenberg's name by Pastor Johann Philip Leidich".

According to Thera's note, Michael may have had children by his first marriage since the following item was included in the Augustus Churchbook:

"18 Apr 1763 - Johann Pfliman and Maria Elisabeth Konig, dr. Michael, beyond the Schylkill, after due proclamation."

Note that John Siegfried lists in his will sons John, Jacob and Peter. It also says that the rest of the estate is to be divided amongst his 6 other children but only lists Elisabeth, Margaretha and Susanna. The other 3 children are not named (meaning that they are deceased in 1767??)
